The overall project performed by Fagioli is divided in
three main steps:
transport and installation of the main sections for the
construction of the “Syncrolift”, an “elevator”
structure which allowed the launching of the
caissons at Malamocco harbor entrance;
building of a specially made catamaran (composed
of two group-owned river barges and dedicated
crosshead beams) to transport and install the
caissons to Bocca di Porto Lido Treporti;
transportation and launching of the first four mobile
gates (other mobile gates will be positioned by
