e Ducati meccanica (oggi Ducati Motor).

Ducati Energia owns its fame to the Ducati brothers who established the Ducati Com-
pany in 1926; twenty-two years later Ducati was split in two other companies, Ducati
Elettrotecnica and Ducati Meccanica (Ducati Motor as it’s known today).

Ducati Energia was founded in 1985 due to the merge of Ducati Elettrotecnica and
Zanussi Elettromeccanica and nowadays it’s considered one of the most important
companies in the Bologna area.

The Ducati Energia Group assets a staff list of about 900 employees working in its
different worlwide plants (Romania, Croatia, Brasil, Argentina in addition to an R&D
branch based in Rovereto and Telefin, a company which became part of the Group in
2016) operating in different fields of activity. Nowadays it’s leader in the production of
