Arkad-ABB SpA is a world leading energy services group focused on delivering
excellence in the oil and gas sector. The company is incorporated in Milan, Italy for
the execution of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects in the Oil
& Gas industry. It was formed by the Saudi company Arkad Engineering & Construction
Ltd (www.arkad.com) and ABB S.p.A. (www.abb.it) with effect from 1st January 2018.
Arkad-ABB combines the strengths of Arkad Group, a major projects EPC company,
with ABB’s deep domain expertise and recognized references in Oil & Gas EPC, to offer
our customers complete EPC capabilities. The new entity is a continuation of the old
brand, SOIMI, established in 1963, supplemented with Arkad’s extensive construction
work force, plant and equipment and experience of delivering major projects.
Arkad-ABB S.p.A. inherits a strong specialization in executing LSTK projects, gaining
vast international experience over 50 years of activities, having executed numerous
projects on a LSTK basis in various locations around the world.
Arkad-ABB S.p.A. provides feasibility study, engineering and procurement, construction, ANIMP DIRECTORY 2019/2020
construction management, training, start-up and commissioning for onshore and
offshore developments while ensuring that required quality and safety standards are ANNUARIO ANIMP 2019/2020
maintained. Our capabilities and engineering flexibility, allow us to successfully manage
the most challenging project situations, proposing innovative solutions for logistically
difficult and technically complex projects.
Permanent and fully staffed regional hubs are located in Abu Dhabi, as the operational
centre of the Middle East region, and Algiers, to service the North Africa market. An
engineering support centre is located in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, in the Arkad head
office, operated and managed by Arkad ABB as an extension of the Milan engineering
team.
