                                      Digitalization

                                      in the Ethernet APL era

Ethernet Advanced Physical Layer (APL) is a great technology to use in process
automation. By extending traditional Ethernet capability to the field level, it enables
leaner and faster communications between field devices and control systems. APL is
capable of operating over long distances, facilitating data exchange in harsh industrial
                                      environments.
This innovation enables improved efficiency and connectivity in industrial automation,
offering a solution to transmit and control data in real time, in the Industry 4.0 era,
where reliability and speed are fundamental. Its adoption marks an improvement in
efficiency, reduction of downtime and increased flexibility in industrial networks.
