innovative solutions to help our clients in decarbo-
nizing their Oil & Gas value chains, and we actively
diversify in renewables with sufficient technological
complexity, such as offshore wind or hydrogen, for
instance. Consequently, our innovation agenda is
strictly aligned with these strategic priorities and we
manage a balanced portfolio of innovation projects
to address equally different opportunities and th-
            reats.
For my part, I am a strong supporter of a “Just
Energy Transition”, which is driven more by prag-
matic step-by-step actions and less by emotions
and populism. In that sense, the role of solution in-
tegrators like Saipem, is very important to make all
new things actually work, at necessary scale”.

In the recent past we have seen numerous
            announcements about Saipem’s cooperation
with other firms to co-develop new advanced
technologies related to the Energy Transi-
tion. Some are a very interesting and natural
extension with your traditional business and
technology lines. For example, wind and pho-
tovoltaic offshore, both with gravity-based as
well as with floating structures. Could you tell
            us more?
