state-of-the-art tools, validated through extensive
experimental testing carried out by prestigious Ita-
lian and European facilities.
Fincantieri steam turbines are designed in a modu-
lar concept; through continuous achievements in
research and development (such as the innovative
shape of the blades), we customize every techni-
cal detail according to the highest requirements in
terms of maximum efficiency.
Fincantieri also designs and manufactures turbo
generators for Heat Recovery Systems application
(HRS) converting the energy lost for fuel into elec-
tricity. The real competitive advantage, guaranteed
by the performance of our heat recovery systems,
widely referenced the product in the cruise seg-
ment.
Fincantieri marine-ready heat recovery systems
have unique features and peculiarities in terms of
efficiency, flexibility, automation, size and weight
optimization.
They allow recovering up to 6% of the fuel used for
propulsion; as well as in cruise, our HRS systems
generate even greater advantages in Ferries and
Cargo segments.
Fincantieri turbines successfully combine impul-
se technology with the hybrid-reaction flow path
concept; his combination provides very high per-
formance, sustained efficiency over time, and high
reliability.
