Laurent Schneider Maunoury joined Naval Energies as Chai-
rman in 2017. He started his career within the PSA Group,
then after being responsible for industrial development and
special advisor to the Préfet of the Champagne-Ardenne
Region. In 1996 he joined Safran where he held various se-
nior positions. He was in particular appointed Manager of
Snecma’s Le Creusot plant, then from 2002 to 2005, Opera-
tion Group VP at Messier-Dowty, landing gears world leader
for aircraft undercarriage. Last but not least, from 2005 to
2010, he was appointed CEO of SLCA, a subsidiary of the
Safran Group specialised in composite aerostructures.
In 2011, he was appointed CEO of Saphymo, an international group specialised in radiation
monitoring systems. In 2016, Laurent Schneider-Maunoury was appointed General Manager
of Quantel, specialised in ophthalmological and industrial lasers, where he led the manage-
rial and shareholder transition.
Laurent Schneider-Maunoury is 51 years old, graduated from Polytechnique and Ecole Na-
tionale des Ponts et Chaussées, and holds an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs.

We have three business lines at the moment. The
most advanced product is the tidal turbine. This
