Open to Suggestions and Proposals
SPE Italian Section program
Dear members,
first of all, be aware that you will find below the agenda of the next planned events. As you can see in the table the
program for the year 2015-2016, unless preliminary, is very rich and interesting. Also this year we are lucky enough
to have four instead of three Distinguished Lectures (DL). This, thanks to the kind availability of Nicola Bona, Italian
lecturer selected for the 2015-2016 tour. A further demonstration of the high quality standard of our lecture program.
To keep this excellence level, we are completely open to suggestions and proposals, so do not hesitate to submit any
idea for a new event: just contact the Program Chair (edoardo.dellarole@tea-group.com) or any other section board
member. Members are the energy that makes the Society work.
As anticipated in the last bulletin, starting from 2015 we widely redesign the lecture format, to make the event more
interesting, accessible and engaging. First, our standard location is now a meeting room at Crowne Plaza Hotel in San
Donato Milanese, easily accessible for all the members located in the metropolitan area of Milan.
Exclusively for all those members that not based in San Donato Milanese and Milan area, we developed a new webinar
service, a very powerful tool (see the last bulletin for more detail). Instead, for those based in these areas, it will be
possible to attend in person and gain the opportunity of direct networking.
Remember that networking is about making connections and building enduring, mutually beneficial relationships.
Talking with other international lecturers, technical advisors, or more in general with other members and colleagues
is a great opportunity of professional and personal growth. In other words networking is the catalyst for success and
excellence. For this reason, we decided to add at the end of our events a more informal moment, helping people to
discuss and share ideas, meet together and, why not, have some fun.
We all look forward to seeing you at the next events!
