Successful modularisation and project execution

Cogen Project
The objective of the Cogen Project (CP) is
to provide new combined power and ste-
am generation facilities to improve energy
efficiency and improve overall site com-
petitiveness. The new facilities will help
the site create and capture efficiencies
associated with generating power onsite
to offset import from the public utility grid
and shutting down existing utility boilers.
Amec Foster Wheeler’s scope is to design
and build the Cogen plant to produce po-
wer and steam for site consumption and
export via a new 66 kV (kilovolt) substa-
tion. The CP scope is predominately lo-
cated on brownfield sites and consists of:
