Technip Energies Italy: the corporate social

              model for sustainable development

In today’s entrepreneurial reality, adopting a sustainable approach is essential. Institutions require us to pay close attention to
social and environmental issues useful for developing a successful business. Technip Energies Italy (TEN Italy) has made its own
these social and environmental requirements, part of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, through an ESG Roadmap integrated into
              our way of doing business.
As Technip Energies, we are signatories of the Global Compact and members of Building Responsibility,
T.EN Italy has been able to rapidly adapt its modus operandi to this sustainable business, elaborating creative and innovative
initiatives thanks to the adoption of the SA8000:2014 Standard since 2014. The SA8000 standard is the leading social responsibility
certification program worldwide, which allows companies to demonstrate their commitment in social terms to their stakeholders,
according to international guidelines inspired by the ILO Convention (International Labor Organization). The SA8000 certification
therefore acts as a signal of social legitimacy for the local establishment.
Today, in fact, we are witnessing the increase of what are defined as “ethical customers”, particularly sensitive to human and social
issues that require a sustainable approach along the supply chain through a management system and a dedicated social team
that allows T.EN Italy to detect and mitigate risks to guarantee the most vulnerable workers.
In 2022, an independent external auditor, Bureau Veritas, recognized the Social Management System and the synergistic
approach of the Social and HSE initiatives as “a model to be duplicated” in other construction sites to guarantee the well-being
of workers and promote an inclusive environment. In 2023, another project also received recognition from the Social team for the
              activities put in place.
We believe that, to effectively drive change, it is not enough to promote best practices in the field of human rights but we need to
influence stakeholders in the construction sector where issues such as modern slavery are unfortunately still very present. With
the workshop, in addition to raising the awareness of human rights issues, we also wanted to offer the participating companies
the opportunity to connect and network with each other.
T.EN Italy, through the Sustainability Department, is contributing to the activities of the working group launched by ANIMP together
with SupplHI for the definition of the ESG Supply Chain guidelines.
