segnali di protezionismo e anti-globalizzazio-

traducano in azioni concrete. Certo che nel
momento in cui un paese come l’Iran, che ha
sempre avuto buoni rapporti con l’Italia, sem-
brava riaprirsi…

academic world’s key contributions for

the development of the Italian industrial

plant industry

An interview with Prof. Andrea Sianesi, Dean MIP

One of the key challenges of the future of the Italian industry and particularly of academia will be the investment in the
education of new generations. Key factors in the engineering courses of the future will be the fostering of interdisciplinarity and
multiculturalism, as well as the development – in addition to traditional disciplines – of soft skills, such as project management.
Our Italian industry needs an improved systems sale effort, a more profound national supply chain coordination. The
academic world hopes also for more and more focused investments in its programs by the industry, with more pronounced
collaboration.
From a broader perspective, the Government has recently introduced a successful ‘Plan for Industry 4.0’ – we hope that it will
be followed shortly by a much needed ‘Plan for Industrial Plants 4.0’.
